My entire life, i have never understood this quote. It doesn't make any sense to me, and in my opinion is the furthest from the truth it could possibly be.
A cut, a scrape, a bruise; they all heal in time, but when words are aimed at someone in a negative way, they remain an emotional wound for a long time, if not the entire person's life. Our right to say whatever we want is great right? But words are also one of the most destructive things emotionally. What goes on in a human's life, it's almost like nobody stops to even think about other people
